We can reveal the results of our fifth KPS PotY competition of 2023, ‘Symmetry’. Thanks to all members who entered images and congratulations to our winners. Many thanks to Paul Stanley, FIPF, from Dublin Camera Club who judged the competition. Paul is also a committee member of the Irish Photographic Federation, past president of the Federation and is currently the FIAP Liaison Officer for Ireland. Paul has presented to clubs throughout Ireland and in the UK and judges extensively in Ireland and internationally. Here are the ‘Symmetry’ competition winners:

Achieving symmetry in photography is when an image appears to have equal weight on both sides. Parts of your composition match each other or are a mirror image of each other. Symmetry can include shapes and can be horizontal, vertical or radial.
